The Barkley Foundation
The Barkley Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Florida not-for-profit corporation, founded in June, 1989, and was created to encourage charitable giving among the Barkley family and their friends. Gifts shall be to other 501(c)(3) organizations with causes in harmony with the family wishes. There is an online search of IRS Publication 78 Index of Charities.
This Foundation also provides family members with an occasion to work together, instead of drifting apart in these very mobile times. It's part of the idea that we stick together and look out for one another.
We solicit neither grants nor support from the general public. We entertain no grant applications from outside sources. The majority of our support comes from family members and we give to educational, religious or healing organizations like these:

Bylaw Article VIII - DISSOLUTION
8.1 At such time as the Foundation might be found to have no remaining Trustees, either through death,
incompetence, or resignation, new Trustees may be appointed by the Board of Directors of the
Broward
Community Foundation, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation, in order to wind down the affairs of
this Foundation and to roll its assets into the unrestricted funds of that community foundation,
provided it is at that time a qualifying organization under I.R.S. regulations.
