Kip Barkley holds two degrees in Engineering: a Bachelors from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Masters from the University of Rhode Island. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.

He is Vice President of Barkley Enterprises, Inc., a licensed professional engineering firm he founded in 1989. Barkley Enterprises, Inc., provides Computer Systems Analysis, Setup and Administration, Executive Training, and Business Consultation, all with a personal touch. His client list includes Mass Mutual Insurance, Esso Inter-America, and the Miami Herald, in addition to law, medical, and general business offices in Broward County. His website is at

Mr. Barkley works with Microsoft and Novell networks, as well as OFFICE applications. He implements the Internet in his business operations and demonstrates the integration of websites, email newsletters, and traditional marketing tools. He coaches, advises, trains, installs, upgrades, trouble-shoots, and makes backups in businesses with 2 to 50 computers.

Previously, Mr. Barkley managed design teams creating computerized data acquisition systems for Navy sonar programs. He has been with Lockheed, TRACOR Applied Sciences (now part of BAE Systems), EG&G, Planning Systems, Inc., and the Naval Underwater Systems Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. He has worked in factories and in the field, in California, the Middle East, and New England.

In his 20's, Mr. Barkley backpacked through Europe. In his 30's, he traveled twice around the world, stopping off in Iran, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

Kip Barkley is a past president of the Florida Speakers Association and Senior Member in the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers. His speaking topics are "Presenting Yourself in Public", "The Client Relationship", and "Getting the Most From Technology".
